Amy has always loved being in the kitchen. As a child, she shared a play kitchen with her younger sisters. Later she and her sisters received a kid’s cookbook that started her adventures in the kitchen.   As a teen, she worked as a table attendant for her parents' small catering company. As a young adult, she worked in different restaurants waiting tables. She then ventured into the corporate world but she never left her love of making good food and baked goods behind. She never imagined that she would pursue becoming a Pastry Chef.

A few years ago, Amy began researching how to make delicious, moist cakes and cupcakes from scratch. She started bringing cakes, cupcakes, and different desserts to her church's home meetings, to different church events, to work, making them for baby-showers and making them for friends and family. Her biggest adventure so far has been her mother-in-law's surprise 70th birthday party. Where she made 9 dozen cupcakes, a 6-inch birthday cake, at least 5 dozen cookies, 2 dozen peanut butter balls, and 2 dozen Oreo cookie balls. After this she was encouraged by family and friends to gain more experience in baking. Amy began researching where she could take courses to enhance her skills. She found Auguste Escoffier School of Culinary Arts and enrolled in their Pastry Arts program. She was able to take all her courses online.

Amy takes pride in making delicious baked goods and food and gets discouraged if someone does not like what she has made or if they’re not enjoying it. She loves being able to offer delicious cakes, cookies, cupcakes, a variety of bread, desserts, and savory items to those around her.

In addition to baking, Amy also enjoys cooking, being in her vegetable, herb, and flower garden, drawing, photography, painting, crafting, wood-burning, cloud watching, reading, and stargazing. She also enjoys relaxing with her fiancé, road trips, Christian, country, and southern rock music, bonfires, their 2 hound dogs, 2 cats, and hiking around their 18-acre property.
